This is my go-to "no reservation" weekday evening spot. Happy hour every day STARTS at 7:30 until closing. Great menu choices! Love the Buta Niku Kimchee donburi. Lychee chu hai is also a fav. Kamameshi and yaki-onigiri are both definite winners! Servers are always friendly, helpful, and prompt. Highly recommend!
This place has become one of my favorite restaurants to go out with friends or for dates! This place has been my first experience of trying tsukune, and while I can't compare it to other places yet, in my opinion the flavor is awesome, meat is tender, and they have many flavor/topping options to choose from. While certain items may seem overpriced and smaller in portion, the quality and taste is great and consistent everytime I go, so I think it's worth it if it's a party of 2-3 sharing food. The staff is also very kind! The atmosphere is quite dim lit but very calming. It's a great place to visit if you're looking to wine down and indulge with others. Definitely a hidden gem meant for special occasions!
When closed this delightful restaurant looks abandoned. Went there at happy hour time and both dishes were superb. Staff friendly and gracious. And who knows, maybe they will play with my odd request and add it to the drink menu. I didn't include the drinks on my dollar amount.
We've passed by this place for years and always wanted to try it. We finally did and wished we had gone sooner! The food was excellent. They also have a nice selection of sake. The best deal is their after 9 p.m. late-night menu. Lots of items are half-priced.
